OUR MISSION STATEMENT

To provide the best possible professional service and technology to the public to enhance their appearance, confidence and general feeling of well-being.

About Transform Clinic

Transform Clinic was established in Christchurch 25 years ago, with our specialists travelling to clinics around New Zealand and has built a strong name for itself in the medical and appearance medicine industry. The master clinic is based in Riccarton, Christchurch, has a second clinic in central Dunedin, and satellite clinics in Auckland and Queenstown. Additionally, Transform Clinic has three franchises in Timaru, Merivale (Christchurch) and Selwyn.

Industry Leaders in New Zealand

Transform Clinic is owned and run by Dr Ian Little and his wife Jennifer Little. Dr Little hails from Scotland and was first involved with cosmetic injectables whilst working for a Harley Street clinic in the UK in 1985. Ian immigrated to New Zealand in 1988 and saw that there was limited cosmetic injectable treatments in New Zealand and little knowledge about the availability of these services. Ian introduced these treatments into his General Practice in Wanganui and started travelling to clinics throughout New Zealand. Ian was a pioneer of appearance medicine and cosmetic lasers in New Zealand and is also a founding member of the Appearance Medicine Society in New Zealand. Ian has been a willing teacher/educator of doctors and nurses in New Zealand, Australia and the UK, where he has run educational workshops with his wife Jennifer.

Ian and Jennifer established the clinic in 1997 and started full-time appearance medicine. Over the years, Ian has had regular clinics all over New Zealand including Christchurch, Dunedin, Queenstown, Nelson, Wellington, Palmerston North, Hastings, New Plymouth, and Auckland. Now he only works fulltime in Christchurch and part-time in Dunedin, Queenstown, and Auckland. Some of their nurses have also worked for them in satellite clinics over the years.

With the growing demand for services in other areas and with their professional background, experience, willingness to teach and share knowledge, Ian and Jenny decided a franchise model with their expertise and support would be a great opportunity for others. The first franchise in Timaru was and is still very successful after being established there in 2016 and since then, the franchisees, Katie and Jeremy, have taken on two more franchises in Selwyn in 2019 and in Merivale, Christchurch in 2020.

Prestigious and trusted brand

This is an opportunity to become a part of a business with a solid, trusted name in cosmetic medicine in New Zealand. Training and our ongoing support are provided, and our expertise gathered from over 30-years’ experience in appearance medicine and business. What separates Transform Clinic from other clinics is the experience, expertise and support network provided, and therefore - the integrity of the brand is upheld by all our clinics.

Choosing a clinic to visit for non-surgical procedures, is an involved decision for most clients. What Transform Clinic offers is a trusted medical practice with a level of experience and expertise unsurpassed in the appearance medicine industry of New Zealand. With our clients at the heart of the business, our brand is committed to providing excellent service and to helping everyday people look and feel good about themselves.

A growing and rewarding industry

Appearance Medicine is a growing, exciting, and innovative industry. Non-surgical procedures are globally on the rise and are increasingly becoming an integral part of one’s beauty routine. The International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) reported an 8.6 percent increase in non-surgical injectables worldwide in 2019 (40.9% since 2015). A more recent report valued the global aesthetic medicine market size at USD 86.2 billion in 2020 and forecasts this industry to expand at a compound annual growth rate of 9.8% from 2021 to 2028 (see here). Accordingly, Transform Clinic franchises are experiencing an abundance of demand and for an increasing scope of clientele.

It is also a very rewarding industry, in the sense that you are given the opportunity to help people look and feel really good about themselves, which boosts their self-esteem and well-being, and this can impact all aspects of someone’s life.

Training

Our franchisees / practitioners can expect complete initial and regular ongoing training and support, which is led by our medical director Dr Little, who has years of experience and was the first to use Botox® cosmetically in New Zealand.

Having our doctor locally available in New Zealand (especially in the current climate we live in - a pandemic), is a particularly valuable and beneficial to all our practitioners.

Opportunities

Our Dunedin clinic is available for purchase as a franchise, and we have opportunities available also for the North Island.

Franchisee Comments

Katie and Jeremy McIndoe
Merivale, Timaru (and Ashburton) and Selwyn.

Having worked at Transform Clinic for a number of years, we decided to join Transform Clinic as a franchisee as we trusted Jenny and Ian and valued their experience in the industry as second to none, working alongside them is a privilege. We enjoy being able to bring another view to a fantastic brand with continued support from Jenny and Ian. We love that its NZ owned, and that Dr Little is locally based and readily available. For us it was always Transform, Katie learned appearance medicine at Riccarton, and we are loyal people - just as Jenny and Ian are and we liked these values. Transform has a sense of prestige too and being a part of that/contributing to that is what we wanted to do.

As our Timaru franchise of 5 years has been so incredibly successful, expanding the brand further into Christchurch made complete sense to us. Merivale has been running for 9 months now and the level of support we had at start-up is just as present now as it was then. The start-up process was a steep learning curve for us, but having said that, we are absolutely thrilled with the results. Jenny and Ian have been so supportive when we’ve asked for advice. Although of course there were some tough conversations along the way as with any new venture, it has been surprisingly smooth and stress free to get up and going. This I feel comes down to the loyalty as well as trust between us as franchisee and franchisor.

Demand is high, we have a new nurse onboard within 8 months of start-up and are looking to employ another ASAP.  This industry is growing rapidly and being a part of a successful brand is evidently showing in the numbers a lot sooner than expected. Client feedback is amazing, we are getting very positive comments on the clinic, its location, our treatments, and level of expertise.

When we opened on December 7 through to Dec 24 we saw 45 clients for the month, which was great but since then, in the coming months we are now seeing an excess of 150 clients a month with client projections ever increasing.  We have a new client/per day ratio (from Dec 2020 to present) of 1.74 across our clinics (435 clients) this is outstanding in our opinion and testament to Katies incredibly hard work but also, the Transform Name.
